police-detector remote control

The four buttons are Mute,AutoMute,State Name (Abbreviation ex: FL, TN, NV), and Dim. It boots up ready to press OK to Dim the display for night driving. The White Dotted Outline shows which button is ready to press. Use the remote's volume up/down switch on the side to change the volume.

TROUBLE SHOOT REMOTE CONTROL: if remote won't go left and right but the enter key works it means the remote has become un-programmed. To reprogram the remote just hold down both the left and right arrow keys at the same time for a few seconds. The LED will flash.

Use the adjacent state feature to change the system for another state when you are traveling. Move the dotten highlight to the current state then press Enter to turn the state blue. Then use the arrows up/down to select from a small list of adjacent states. Hit the enter key to lock it in and turn off the blue. Now the arrows move the cursor left and right again.

AutoMute turns off sound after a few seconds of constant strong contact with a distinctive "dink" sound followed by two beeps which tells you it was muted and the signal was not lost. Dink and three beeps means the signal was lost The system will start in the state of the USA that you last set it to and remember if Dim is on, and remember your mute/automute setting.

Police Detector Phone Display

Phone Display

VERY IMPORTANT - Always use a phone holder with the phone. Don't use it on the console.

SETUP

To use the phone for display and control of the Police Detector (PD) it's recommended to have the Police Detector powered by a switch that has constant power (but ignition power only will work too). When used this way you can leave the phone display hooked up when you make short stops. Once your phone is connected to PD's wifi the first time using the password - goodlife, your phone will automatically connect when PD's wifi is on. Don't worry about the error - No Internet. If you wish to use Waze or JBV1 in the background add the Speedify app which allows your Phone to simultaneous read wifi to the Police Detector and read internet cellular wifi

DAILY OPERATIONS

Most people have their phone connected to their home wifi. In your day to day car travels you can turn on the Police detector and wait until you are out of range of your home wifi. This will automatically switch you to the Police Detector wifi or you can go into settings and manually switch to the Police Detector Wifi each time you get in the car. Wait 15 seconds after PD's three startup beeps then hit the remotix app and tap the computer screen icon. When the system shuts down simple close the app.

You can use your phone for a display using the Remotix App. The keys work as above. Make sure all the other bottom row keys are off especially the alt and ctrl keys. If the remote isn't working properly it is usually one of the bottom shift keys is on. They light up when on.

Police Detector Operations

The Most Advance Police Detection Technology ever created

Sherlock utilizes an advance computer similar to your desktop PC inside of a small 4"x 5" box.

The 5" HD monitor displays up to 5 "targets" in track. The (1/5) indicators means this is the first target and there is a total of 5 targets in track. Below that would be the other four targets.

Each Police has a "Pseudo" number which is unique to each car. This ID tag lets you determine if a police car is one that you already saw earlier behind you or another one. If target count is high(greater than 2) it could indicate a speed trap, an accident, or check point.

Trouble Shooting

Make sure USBs are all the way in and antenna connections are tight.

15-0-0- Sample Bottom of Screen Status Numbers

Watch the 0 number on the bottom, if it stays at zero - CHECK CONNECTIONS and turn off Sherlock and restart

The second number displays system errors. It should always be zero. If not- contact Support

The third number measures system reception. It may be non-zero for first 30 seconds but it should stay at zero. If not- contact Support

if a forth number appears - contact Support

If Lock Screen shows after pressing Home/Back to turn off then hit the power button.

Notes: Make sure all USBs are fully inserted. If you still have a problem send a video clip.
